Why it pays

A small edge in your numbers pays for
itself many times over.

The operations pulling ahead right now know exactly what every acre costs, and they make the next call with that number already in hand. That's the whole edge.

📦Know how much seed, spray, and fertilizer you've got before you're standing in the field without it.
🌱Spot the field that's been quietly losing money and give it a new job.
🌾Hit the grain market when it's ready for you — not the other way around.

Any one of those pays for TallyAg. And you get all three.

TallyAg starts at $50 a month, billed annually — less than a fill-up, less than a part run to town. For a clear view of the whole operation, that's about the easiest math you'll do all year.

The books

QuickBooks handles money in and money out. We handle the farm in between.

QuickBooks is great at what it was built for: money comes in, money goes out, every dollar accounted for. What it was never built to see is everything that happens in between — which field or pasture got which input, how a crop year really works, how a cash-rent landlord or a share-crop lease splits, what a Schedule F should look like come tax time.

TallyAg adds that missing layer. We pull in the data already sitting in your QuickBooks, organize it the way a farm actually runs, write back exactly what your CPA expects, and get out of the way. Your QuickBooks stays yours. Your accountant keeps their workflow. Your lender keeps reading the reports they already trust.

Field Operations Inputs & Inventory Grain Marketing & Storage Livestock Equipment Planning Financials & Reports

All part of the core, no add-ons to buy. Cattle with your corn, an orchard, a vegetable operation, a little of everything: it all has a home here. We go deep on grain, and just as deep everywhere else you farm.

Cost of production

One field, all the way through.

The Henderson field is 80 acres of corn-on-corn ground. $12,800 of seed was paid for in December, the planter ran in late April, the sprayer made two passes, and the combine harvested it in October at 217 bu/ac.

Most setups can only tell you it cost "about the same as the rest of the farm." TallyAg turned that seed into input inventory the day it arrived, drew it down as the planter logged passes, and landed every dollar on the field it touched. By harvest, Henderson had a real cost per acre, and the cost per bushel calculated on its own.

$3.16 a bushel to grow.

Twenty-three cents over the operation average, a fact that changed how the fall grain got marketed and gave the winter cash-rent conversation something better than a gut feeling to stand on.

"The first month I ran cost of production by field, I found three fields I had been marketing wrong for years."

Meet BARB · Live now, every plan

Ask BARB anything. In plain English.

BARB is your assistant, built right into TallyAg. She knows your whole operation: row crops, cattle, hay, specialty acres, equipment, and the books behind all of it. Ask a question, or get step-by-step help, without leaving the program. Grounded in your real QuickBooks transactions and your real farm records.

Every answer is in the reports too. BARB just gets you there faster, and lets you keep asking.

You
What was my total input cost per acre on the Henderson ground last season?
BARB
Henderson came in at $446/acre in direct inputs — seed $160, fertilizer $192, chemicals $94. That's $65/acre above your corn-ground average. Want the full breakdown by operation date?
You
What is my breakeven yield on Henderson at $4.20 corn with $240 cash rent?
BARB
You'd need about 163 bu/acre to break even. Your three-year average there is 212, which pencils to roughly $204/acre of return — top 30 percent of your fields. Want a few price and yield scenarios?

Built on QuickBooks

The farm platform built to work
with QuickBooks — not replace it.

Every acre, every head, and every dollar in one place, layered on top of the QuickBooks you already use. Your accountant never has to change a thing.

What you can do

Four things this
puts in your hands.

Soybean field rows

Get the books right.

A chart of accounts mapped to Schedule F line by line. Transactions classified by entity, enterprise, and crop year, two-way synced with QuickBooks so nothing gets entered twice. Year-end becomes a roll-up, not a rebuild.

Growing crops

Know what actually makes money.

Cost of production per field, from real applied inputs, not a whole-farm average. Run livestock too? Cost of gain works the same way. Revenue, cost, and net side by side, for every enterprise you run.

Grain farmer in field

Know what it's all worth.

Cost-basis and market-value balance sheets, kept current. Land, livestock, and your other assets on the books. A banker package ready any time, no scramble required.

Tractor on rural field

See where you stand, plan the year.

Grain contracts and bin inventory for row crops, contract management for specialty crop sales, breeding and calving calendars if you run cattle. Activity planning by field, herd, and crop year, so plan-versus-actual is there all season.

Know where you stand

The ratios your lender actually reads, benchmarked against national figures.

Current ratio, debt-to-asset, return on assets, and the rest of the numbers a lender cares about, calculated straight from your connected books. See where you sit against the national median for grain farms, and against the top 20 percent. It all rolls up into one farm health score you can hand your lender or advisor in seconds. And for every ratio, TallyAg shows you what's driving it and the specific moves that improve it.

The stuff that trips up farm taxes, handled quietly.

Nothing on this list is flashy. It's just the handful of things that go wrong every year when nobody's watching for them.

Through the year

The work changes by season. So does the product, right alongside it.

Spring

Inputs land and the planter starts logging passes. Orchards break bud and vegetable ground gets its first plantings. Calves hit the ground and breeding season opens. Every dollar and every event ties back to the right field or the right group from day one.

Summer

Reports stay quiet while the books stay current. A mid-year Schedule F preview catches issues while they are small. Specialty crop harvest and sales start flowing in, and cost of gain updates as the herd grows.

Fall

Yield data flows in, cost per bushel calculates, and weaning weights turn into cost per hundredweight. Orchard harvest wraps and specialty contracts settle. Marketing and culling decisions get made on real numbers, and the banker package is ready for the fall loan conversation.

Winter

Year-end close and a final Schedule F. A January appointment with your CPA instead of a shoebox in February. Pruning and next year's planting plan take shape while the books settle, and next season's plan starts from a real budget, not a guess.

Built for your operation

One place for
everything you run.

Built for operations running one entity or several, family-run or with hired help, managing more than one enterprise on QuickBooks with rented ground. And it's built for whoever actually keeps the books — you at the kitchen table at 10 p.m., a spouse who runs the office, or a part-time bookkeeper.

Want to see if it fits? The two-week trial is the fastest way to find out, no card to start, and cancellation is one click.

Why farms choose us

We didn't build another accounting system. We built the layer QuickBooks was missing.

Four things, together, that you won't find bundled anywhere else:

You keep QuickBooks.

No switching accounting software, no re-training for your bookkeeper, no rebuilding your chart of accounts from scratch. Your accountant's workflow doesn't change.

Your team gets in too.

Invite your CPA, your bookkeeper, your grain marketer, whoever you work with, and control exactly what each person can see.

You get field-level answers.

Cost of production for every field, every year. The number that actually changes a decision.

You get BARB on every plan.

From day one. Ask her a question the way you'd ask a person, and she answers using your real numbers.

QuickBooks-native, field-level profitability, BARB included. That combination is the whole reason TallyAg exists.

Common questions

Answers, straight.

What operations is TallyAg built for? +
Farms that run QuickBooks with rented ground and more than one enterprise. Our grain and row-crop features run deepest. Cattle alongside your crops? Covered. An orchard, a vegetable farm, or another specialty crop as your whole operation? Also covered, and treated as its own business, not limited to grain.
Do I need a credit card to try it? +
No. Start the two-week trial with no card. If you decide to stay, you pick monthly or annual then. If you don't, you do nothing and it ends.
Do I need to replace QuickBooks? +
No. TallyAg connects to QuickBooks Online, adds the farm structure on top, and layers in the field, herd, grain, equipment, and land data QuickBooks can't hold on its own. Your QuickBooks stays yours, and your accountant's workflow doesn't change.
Can my CPA, bookkeeper, or grain marketer use this too? +
Yes. Invite your accountant, bookkeeper, or marketing consultant in, and you control what each one can see, whether that's Schedule F-mapped transactions, a clean set of books, or your current grain position.
What does BARB actually do? +
BARB answers questions about your operation the way you would ask a person, grounded in your real QuickBooks transactions and farm records, and walks you step by step through the app when you need it. She answers and guides — she doesn't enter records for you. Included on every plan.
How long does setup take? +
Under 30 minutes, with guided onboarding the whole way. You link QuickBooks, set up your entity, and bring in your fields and herds — we do it with you rather than handing you software and walking off.
Does it work for multi-entity operations? +
Yes, and it's a sweet spot. Each entity connects to its own QuickBooks file and keeps its own books, inventory, grain ownership, and balance sheet — nothing gets commingled — while everything still rolls up on demand into one whole-operation view. All switchable from a single login.
What integrations do you support? +
QuickBooks Online today, plus John Deere Operations Center for field data. Climate FieldView, AgLeader, and Trimble are on the way, and CSV import covers any source in the meantime.
What happens to my data if I ever leave? +
It stays with you. Your books live in your QuickBooks, which you own and control — that never changes, regardless of TallyAg.

Your whole farm.
